Harpenden Christmas Tree Festival 2007
The Harpenden Christmas Tree Festival 2007 was held at St Nicholas Church on 12 - 17 December, this year with a focus on Fairtrade. Over 70 trees were beautifully decorated by local groups, schools or charites, many with a theme reflecting the group or its aims. During the Festival, a number of special events were held, many put on by local schools. Father Christmas again put in an appearance on Sunday. Cornelia's coffee shop was open for fairly traded refreshments and it is estimated that many hundreds of people visited over the course of the Festival.
