Inter-church Quiz 2008

The Harpenden Churches Inter-church Quiz took place on Saturday 19th January, at Roundwood Park School, marking the start of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (18 - 25 January). About 15 churches entered a total of 36 teams in this popular event, which this year had the theme of 'First Things' and included a round on the first book of the Bible. The winning team, scoring a total of 90 points out of a possible 120, were 'Warts 'n all' - a team from St John's, Southdown. The churches are grateful to John Farrow (question-master) who co-ordinated arrangements, assisted by a team of helpers.

This year is the centenary of the Week of Prayer and special events and services were held the next day at St Albans Abbey. A service at High Street Methodist Church was held in Harpenden, and at Southdown Methodist the following Tuesday. Details on the 'What's On' page.
